Janice Snead Guice, age 79, of Southside, passed away on July 17, 2025. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Janice will be fondly remembered for her spunky personality—full of laughter, quick wit, and an unshakable sense of independence. She loved playing cards and adored her beloved cat. A talented hairdresser by trade, Janice had the gift of turning strangers into friends and brightening the day of everyone she met. She was a devoted mother, a caring sister, and a true friend to many. Her warmth and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, JL and Ruth Snead.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tracy (Gary) Parris and Blake Guice; grandchildren, Dylan (Miranda) Parris and Bradley (Ashley) Parris; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Elowen Parris; sister, Nancy Bentley; brother, Gary (Kelly) Snead; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
