Funeral services for Jane Faulkner age 73 a native of Etowah County now residing in St. Clair County (Pell City ) will be Thursday at 11 am at Crestwood Chapel. Mack Larkin will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
She was born to Harry Van Faulkner Sr. and Margaret Crunk Faulkner.
She was a graduate of Glencoe High Class of 1962. She was a graduate of The University of Alabama, where she achieved her Juris Doctorate in Nuclear Medicine, later receiving her Juris Doctorate in law. She played an influential role in many lives to include many students as she was the director of the radiology department at Gadsden State Community College. She then pursued a career in law, opening her own law firm, first in Birmingham, then moving to St. Clair County (Pell City) where she lived and practiced law working with St. Clair Counties Department of Human Resources, also serving in various capacities in St. Clair County.
She was loved by many. She was predeceased by her father Harry Van Faulkner, mother Margaret Crunk Faulkner and daughter Karen Paige Slaten Tanner. She is survived by husband Edward Evans, brothers Harry (Ada)Van Faulkner Jr. , and Darrell (Billie) Frank Faulkner, sons James (Candi) Slaten, Wade(Angie) Slaten, grandchildren Ashley(Justin) Slaten Wheeler, and Megan (T.J.) Nicole Slaten, John Austin Slaten, Jordan Allee Slaten, great grandchildren Sadie Lynn Wheeler, Mason Luke Wheeler, Jayce Slaten and Emily Paige Elrod .
She was loved by family and respected by friends and associates.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 until 8 pm.
