Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mr. James A Smith, age 77, of Rainbow City, who died Saturday, January 29, 2022. Jeff Romine will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

James will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his love of family, fishing, Alabama Football "Roll Tide" and for the loving husband ,father, grandfather and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Perran and brother Shelly Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marie, children Darrell Smith, DeeDee (Chris) Warnick, Miranda(Mark) Bell and a host of chosen children loved and raised by Marie and James. Grandchildren, Devin, Courtney, Mackenziey, Zoey, Eli, Alice and Bubba.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm..
