Obituary

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2008 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mr. James Curtis Nunnally, age 88, of Gadsden, who died on Tuesday, March 18, 2008. The Rev. Bill Harbinson will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Nunnally was a native of Ohatchee, AL. moving to Gadsden in 1944, where he went to work for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with over 37 years of service in 1981. He was a faithful member of the East Gadsden Baptist Church for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Myra; his father, Berry, a sister, Sybil; his wife of 50 years, Jewell Scott Nunnally; his beloved granddaughter, Kristie Michelle Nunnally.
He is survived by his son, Larry and daughter-in-law, Sondra; brother, Bobby (Martha), of Ohatchee; sister, Betty Gulledge, of Alexandria; brother-in-law, J.B. (Logene) Scott, of Ohatchee; grandson, Kevin (Marianne) Nunnally, of Tuscaloosa; great granddaughter, Kara Nunnally and a great grandson, Kyle Nunnally, both of Tuscaloosa; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be the Deacon's of East Gadsden Baptist Church.
In-Lieu-of flowers, the family would ask that memorials be made in Mr. Nunnally's name to the East Gadsden Baptist Church Youth Mission Trip Fund.
The family is very appreciative of his extended family, the entire staff of Meadowood Retirement Village. Special thanks to Dr. Oluwole Akisanya and Dr. Koscho.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 21, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
