Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home for Mr. James "Jim" Loren Perry (87) who went to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Rev. John Page will officiate with Dr. Steve Fetkenhour giving a memorial tribute.

Jim was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church. He was born April 4, 1934. He graduated from Brilliant High School and earned a degree from Auburn University. He worked for and retired from the Georgia School for the Deaf. Jim loved his family and grandchildren unconditionally. He was an extremely giving man, always caring for others, and blessed all with his kindness and genuine love. He was a man of strong faith and character. He was an inspiration and beloved by all who knew him. We will miss him greatly and look forward to another big hug when we get to heaven.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Velma (Threadgill) Perry and John Fletcher Perry; his brother-in-law Harvey Bradley; his wife, Wilma Sue (Marble) Perry; and his son, James Joel Scott "Scottie" Perry.

He is survived by his siblings, Danny Wayne Perry (Norma Gene), Priscilla Anne (Perry) Bradley, and John Fletcher Perry II (Annette); grandchildren, James William "Jw" Scott Perry and Emma Rose (Perry) Andrews; as well as an entire community of students and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church at 30 Alabama Street Cave Spring, Ga. 30124.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.W. Perry, Joe Lambert, Kenneth Perry and Glenn Burkhaulter.

The family would like to issue a special thanks to Big Springs Assisted Living and Cedar Valley nursing Home for making his last few years peaceful and filled with joy.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday starting  at 1:00 p.m. and lasting until the time of service.
