Services will be today 1 pm at Crestwood Chapel for James Eugene Hilyer "Jamie", 53, of Glencoe who passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2021, following a brief illness. Jamie will be deeply missed by his surviving family: sons Dylon (Kelsie) Hilyer and Brett Mueller, granddaughter Mallie Hilyer, sisters Donna (Mike) Davis, Jonna Roberts, and Kara Hilyer, and a host nieces and nephews that he adored, chosen brother and lifelong friend Reggie Roberts he is preceded in death by his parents James and Linda Hilyer, and his best friend Tony Barger.

Jamie grew up in Glencoe, Alabama where he attended Glencoe High School and was a member of North Glencoe Baptist Church. He was a diehard Auburn fan and avid collector. He enjoyed finding old bicycles and fixing them up to give to kids. He was known as someone who would "give you the shirt off his back". He loved his family and Jesus. He left this world deeply loved.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kenny Smith and his office staff for their love and compassion. Services will be officiated by Daniel King and Eulogy by Scott Hassell. Honorary Pallbearers will be his neighbors at Starnes who lovingly helped care for him.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, from 12 pm, until the time of service.
