A celebration of life will be held at 11 am, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mr. James "Doyle" Anderson, age 84, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away February 3, 2022, after a battle with dementia.John Copeland & Larry Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Mausoleum. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Doyle lived a full life. He graduated from Fyffe High School in 1957. He attended Alabama Trade School, where he studied printing. He was a four-color pressman for 55 years. In 1961 he was drafted into the Army and served his country faithfully. Doyle was a faithful member of College Heights Baptist, Church where he previously served as the Chairman of the Trustees.

Doyle loved being outdoors. You would find him either on the tractor, in the garden he planted every year, cutting grass, fishing on the lake, out on the boat or working on a car. He also loved going to the Smokey Mountains with close friends and family. Doyle was fun loving and wore a huge smile on his face.

He is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Grace Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Glenda, daughters Tina (David) Pendley, Lisa,(Howard ) Mims and Michelle Cothran. Grandchildren Kimberly Mims, Zachary (Mattie) Mims, Kathleen Mims and fiancé, Cody Edwards, Chandler (Karlee) Cothran, and JAC Cothran. Great- granddaughter Everleigh Grace Mims, Brothers Kenneth (Lois) Anderson and Larry (Eva) Anderson.
