Funeral service will be noon today at Crestwood Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Irene Cameron, 85, Hokes Bluff, who died Sunday. Brother Billy Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Cameron was a devoted Christian lady. She was a role model to all who knew her. She was a beautician for over 50 years. She will be remembered for her many talents including cross stitching, crocheting and especially cooking for her family and friends. Mrs. Cameron was a longtime member of Brierwood Hills Baptist Church, formerly Litchfield Avenue Baptist. Her family was everything to her. She showed her love by creating delicious meals. She brought her family together as often as possible. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cameron; daughter, Amelia Ann; and five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by daughter, Donna (Ronnie) Blanton; son, Jim (Linda) Cameron; grandchildren, Amy (Michael) White, Brian (Amy Jo) Blanton, Kevin Cameron, Jamie (Kyle) Hicks; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
