Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday Feb. 16 at Crestwood chapel for Ina Perry Hamrick, age 87, who died Tuesday, Feb.12, 2008. Rev. Anthony Copeland will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery, Crestwood Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Hamrick was born in Cleburne County, AL. She and her late husband, Walter Hamrick , raised their family in the Gadsden/ Attalla Area. She was predeceased by her parents, Oley and Joie Perry, six of her seven siblings, her husband, Walter, and their son Larry.
Ina, a loving mother and grandmother, is survived by her daughter, Inez McCollum, Birmingham; Grandsons Gregory(Susan), Tuscaloosa; Jay (Marnie), Birmingham; Joe (Karen), Birmingham; Derrick (Jan), Gadsden; John, Birmingham; Daughter In Law Ann Hamrick, Reese City, 12 Great Grandchildren; and sister Avis Kilgore, Fruithurst.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, 3680 Old US Highway 278 East, Hokes Bluff, AL 35903 or to Gideon Bibles, P.O. Box 1744 Bessemer, Al 35021.
Visitation will be at 10:00AM on Saturday and will be followed by the funeral at 11:00AM.
