Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at Crestwood Chapel for Imogene Rhodes, age 82, of Glencoe, who passed away November 16, 2014. Speaker Tim Whittemore will officiate. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Rhodes was a lifelong resident of Glencoe, AL. She loved flowers and gardening, and she loved to crochet a quilt. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her parents, John and Nina Jones; son, Sammy Rhodes; and her sisters, Judy Johnson and Faye Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel Rhodes; daughter, Susan (Tim) Whittemore; grandchildren, Tim Whittemore, Amy Glover, Nena Stephens and Alan Rhodes; six great-grandchildren; brother, William Jones; and sister, Barbara Ogletree.
Pallbearers will be Ray Chestnut, Elvis Rhodes, Ronald Ogletree, Jerame Glover, Wes Stephens and Randy Johnson.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service on Tuesday.
