Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009, at Crestwood chapel for Imogene Ellis Gilbreath, 84, Rainbow City, who died September 29, 2009. Bro. Allen Hudson will officiate. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery.
She was a lifelong member of East Gadsden Baptist Church, she was also a member of Hesta Watts Sunday School class. She was retired from General Times. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.G. Gilbreath, parents; Grady and Edith Ellis, sisters; Lavern Morgan and Edna Restauri, brother; Arnold Ellis.
She is survived by her daughters; Rose (John) Crow and Janet (Jimmy Kimbril) Tullis, sons; James M. (Susan) Gilbreath and Arlington (Janet) Gilbreath, grandchildren; Tim (Donna) Crow, Tracey (Robyn) Crow, Alex (Bridget) Hoge, Mark Hoge, Craig Hoge, James Gilbreath, Gerald Gilbreath and Kerri (Phillip) Tarvin, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and Greg Simmons.
A special thanks to Rainbow City Fire Dept., Her loving neighbors, Amed Ambulance, Gadsden Regional 7th and 9th floor nurses, SICU unit, especially Darcy, Alacare and Gadsden Health Care and Rehab.
The family will receive friends Tonight from 6-8 at Crestwood Funeral Home.
