Hoyt was one of the kindest and most gentle people that you will ever meet. He loved his family with all of his heart, and spent a lifetime providing for their every need. His devotion to his family was endless, especially to his wife, Juanita Davidson, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage. Hoyt was also survived by sons Mike Davidson, Southside and Anthony (Loretta) Davidson, Brewton,AL ; daughter Kay Davidson Armstrong. Southside; grandchildren Dan (Barbra) Davidson, of Michigan, Matt (Aimee) Davidson, of New Orleans, LA; Jill (Nick) Walden, of Trussville, AL; Haley (Josh) Wright, Luke (Jamie) Armstrong, of Southside, AL; great grandchildren Eli and Luke Davidson, of Michigan, Brayden, Brooks, and Emma Kate Davidson, New Orleans, Anderson Kate Reeves, of Trussville, Hayes Davidson Wright, Southside; brothers Tony Davidson and Ray Davidson; sister Joyce Spears; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Whether you were his child, grandchild, or an in law, Hoyt's love and support for his family was always evident.
Those outside of his family knew Hoyt was a dedicated and loyal friend and co worker. He had retired from Goodyear in 1980 after 35 ½ years service, and dedicated his remaining healthy years to working in his garden, fixing things for others, and tinkering in his shop. His life was full of love, laughter, and blessings and those that had the privilege of knowing Hoyt, knew that they were the lucky ones.
We celebrate because we know that Hoyt has gone to be with our Heavenly Father and for his relief from the suffering he's had to endure. However, we mourn the loss of one of the best husbands, fathers, grandfathers, and friends that the world will ever know. Hoyt will be missed by all that knew and loved him, but have peace in knowing that we will one day see him again.
