A memorial service will be held Friday from 11 am until 1 pm for Mr. Howard Leon Hopkins, age 74, who died Tuesday August 19,2025. Howard will be remembered first and foremost as a faithful Christian and a true people person who never met a stranger. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and later became the owner and operator of a successful sign business for many years—there was never a sign he couldn't create. Known for his quick wit and strong opinions, Howard also had a gift for fixing anything that broke. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Denzel and Thelma Hopkins, and his sister, Sandra Reagan.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Chasity (Eric) Skinner;Charlie Wolfe and Joshua Hopkins, his mother, Marjorie Hopkins; grandchildren, Keria, AndeeMae, Elizabella, Eric Jr., and Violet; brothers, Wray (Gloria), Jeff, and Doral (Gloria) Hopkins;sister Pam Hopkins, along with a large extended family.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to his mother, Marjorie, and to all who cared for and loved Howard.
