Funeral Service will be at 2pm Saturday in Crestwood Chapel for Hilda Johnson Lett, Age 78, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Wednesday February 10, 2010. Rev. Eric House will officiate. Entombment will be in Crestwood Mausoleum. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Lett was born February 23, 1931 in East Gadsden. She was a member and Sunday School Teacher of First Baptist Church Hokes Bluff, a member of Twianna Lions Club, ECE Investment Club, and a volunteer at the Etowah Baptist Mission Center. She retired from teaching at Hokes Bluff High School after 26 years service. She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cecil Lett and her grandson Joey Crain.
Hilda is survived by her daughters and sons in law Cecilia and Roger Burton of Birmingham, Cathy and Donnie Heath of Hokes Bluff, and Cheryl and Ricky Brown of Georgia; Grandchildren Jay Crain of California, Brad and Candice Burton, Brooke and William Dunham, and Barry Burton all of Birmingham, and Rance Brown of Georgia; Great Granddaughter Sage Crain of California; and Sister Mary Ann Haynes of Birmingham.
The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Elevator Fund.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
