Funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Hilda Smith Golden, age 93, of Gadsden, who died Saturday March 10,2018.Charles Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Hilda was a native of Huntsville, and resided in Gadsden for over 72 years. She was a homemaker, beloved mother and grandmother. She was a member of Dwight Baptist Church for many years. She and her husband Audley were members of The Rebel Camping Club ,traveling the country in their motor home with friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Audley C. Golden, daughter Patricia Mayo, son in law Bill Morgan, parents Fred B. and Mary Lucille Smith, three brothers and three sisters.

Hilda is survived by her daughter Donna Morgan, son in-law Richard Don Mayo, Brother John Norman Smith, sister Virginia(John Lawson) McKinney, grandchildren Joni(Dale)Owen ,Chris(Kitty) Morgan, Keith Mayo, Dallas(April) Mayo, Eric Morgan, great grandchildren, Jessica Owen, Jake Owen, Mason Mayo, Ally Mayo, great-great grandchildren Conner Owen, Krymson Owen and Clayton Owen and many loving nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Mayo, Keith Mayo, Dallas Mayo, Mason Mayo, Chris Morgan and Eric Morgan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Owen and Jake Owen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11 am until the time of service.
