Funeral services will be Monday, June 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home for Henry Eugene Parker 68 of Gadsden, Al who died Friday, June 15, 2018. Rev. Leon Hunter, Charlie Woodard and David Parker will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Henry graduated from Gadsden High School. He had 21 years of service with Etowah County and Rainbow City Sanitation departments until his retirement. Henry enjoyed his old cars and trucks, especially his 1982 Blue Chevrolet. He loved listening to his old country music, watching westerns, and putting his lawnmowers to use.

Henry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jane "Janie" Parker. Son, Gary (Meridith) Parker, daughter, Angie (Nick) Bowen, grandsons; Parker Bowen and Garrett Parker, granddaughters; Claire Bowen and Sydney Parker, brother, Walter (Debbie) Parker, sister, Diane (Wendall) Casey, numerous nieces and nephews. His beloved pets: Lulu, Bandit, Teddy, Leo, and Minnie.

Special brother-n-law, Joe (Clovis) Mayo and sister-n-law, Linda McCright.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, David Parker, Stevie McCright, Russell McCright, Ricky Smith, Terry Mayo and Dale McCright.

Honorary Pallbearers are his lifelong friends; Charles Griffin, Kenneth Payne, Donald Landrum, Brent Elrod, Phillip Herring, and Leonard Hollis.

Special thanks to Alacare hospice Nurses Kayla, Suzanne, and Kelly, care, aide, Elizabeth. Kim Smith, his niece who provided love, care and support to Henry and family that will never be forgotten.
