Funeral services will be 12 noon Thursday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mrs. Ruth Roberts, age 94 of, Ashville who died Monday. Reverends Wayne Killian and Lane Gilbert will officiate . Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Mrs. Roberts will be remembered for her almost angelic personality. She loved everybody unconditionally. She took care of her husband during his sickness and death at an early age of 47. She was a loving wife , mother, grandmother, great grandmother and second mother to her sister Elaine Allen, and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by husband Jimmy Joseph Gilbert, twin daughter Jannie Sue Gilbert, parents Guy and Hazel Owens, sisters, Virginia Zatkoff, Marguerite Bedsole, brothers Guy Owens Jr., Merlin Owens, Marvin Owens and grandson Andrew Jackson Gilbert.

She is survived by children Linda Ruth Bigler, Sharon Gilbert, Anita Louise (Fred) Teague, Jimmie Lou (Steve) Norman, James Kenneth(Pat) Gilbert, sister Elaine Allen, aunt Geneva Owens and a large number of grandchildren great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Edward Teague, Trey Massey, Josh Hunter, Michael Ledbetter, Mark Osborne and Fred Teague.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 11 am until the time of service.
