Funeral services were held at 3 PM, Thursday, January 15th, at Crestwood Chapel in Gadsden, AL for Harry Reavis, 98, of Birmingham, who passed away Tuesday, January 13th, 2015. Burial was at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home was charge of directing services.
Mr. Reavis was an avid fisherman as well as gardener and enjoyed backyard bird-watching. He was also a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Nelda Lucille Reavis; daughters, Donna Trammell, Vicki Day, and Judy Hobart; grandchildren, Michael Trammell, Leann Sanders, Rebecca Job, and Kristin Ballor; and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any charity or church of choice.
Special thanks to Dianna Stanley, caregiver, and to other devoted caregivers; and to Mike Reavis, a much-loved cousin.
The family accepted friends from 2 PM until the time of the service on Thursday.
