Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday June 12, 2008 at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home for "Butch" Harry Leslie Ikner, Jr., age 43, of 1415 Burger Circle, Gadsden, who died June 10, 2008, at home. Seth Harbison will officiate.
Mr. Ikner was a native of Columbus, GA. He was a graduate of Carver High School, and went on to graduate from Georgia Tech. He was also an Eagle Scout and GA State Wrestling Champ in 1982. He lived in Glencoe, AL the last seventeen years. Butch was an avid outdoors man and loved the mountains and water sports. He is survived by his devoted wife Lisa and 2 loving daughters Leslie and Kaylie of Glencoe, AL; father, Harry Leslie Ikner , Sr., Columbus GA; mom, Donna Sue Ikner; sister, Christine (Mike) Bushman, Alta Loma, CA; mother-in-law Wanda Long, Smith Station, AL, sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Kelly Vinyard, Smith Station, AL; niece Kristi Bushman, Alta Loma, CA; nephew, Adam Vinyard, Smith Station, AL.
He is preceded in death John and Chris Woods, West Frankford, IL also Ira and Nancy Ikner, Monroeville, AL; and father-in-law Don Long, Smiths Station, AL.
Pallbearers will be Hootie Arrington, Beau Burgess, David Copp, Aaron Gulledge, Edwin Hammonds and Donny Renfroe.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Vinyard, Adam Vinyard, Rick Vinyard, Mark Vinyard and Mike Bushman.
