Funeral will be 1 pm Tuesday, October 28, at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Harriet Roberts age 78 of Glencoe who died Saturday October 25,2014 at her residence. Reverend Joel Samuels will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home will direct services.

On October 25th Mrs. Roberts lost her 12 year battle to Parkinson's disease. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Glencoe as well as First Baptist Church of Guntersville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Willie J. McClendon and father and mother in law Walter and Oma Dee Roberts; sister in law Betty Lankford; and brothers in law Kenneth Huff and James Lankford.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Jimmy Don Roberts, children Laura (Mike) McKenzie, Ginger (Steve) McNair, Jason Walter (Jamie) Roberts, April (Dallas) Mayo;
Grandsons Joshua and Zackary(Molly)McKenzie, Jarred McNair, Dalton Roberts, Mason Mayo and granddaughters Allyson Mayo and Jakea Griffith; Sister Betty Huff; and Brother Jimmy (Regina) McClendon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joshua McKenzie, Zackary McKenzie, Jarred McNair, Steve McNair, Dalton Roberts, Mason Mayo and Dallas Mayo.

Special thanks to the staff of Gentiva Hospice special nurses Michelle, Kim, Sarah. Special thanks to our caregivers for taking wonderful care of our mother, Judy Sullivan, Nancy Beas, Dianne Whitmore, Peggy Whitmore and a special thank you to Shelby Thacker for taking care of our dad and mom.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 am until the time of service.
