Obituary

Funeral services will be 7 pm Saturday at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Gypsy Neal age 88 of Rainbow City who died Thursday March 19.Reverends Jeff Underwood and Aaron Coffey will officiate. Burial will be in Southside Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Neal graduated from Emma Sansom High School Class of 1944. At the age of 44 she received her LPN license and worked for Drs. Graves, Odom, Simpson, Key and Sanchetti. She loved her gatherings with fellow classmates and friends for their Tuesday luncheons. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and truly enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was thoughtful about sending cards to family and friends. She was a Christian and longtime member of East Gadsden Church of the Nazarene.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Neal, daughter in-law Joan Neal and granddaughters Lillie and Lucie Grizzard. Parents Horace and Annis Entrekin, brothers Louie, Homer and Clyde, Entrekin, sisters: Ruby Tatum, Lucile Goodson and Estelle Grant.
She is survived by sons Bob(Deb) Neal, Rick(Sandra) Neal. Grandchildren Kim(Craig) Keeling, Nita(David) Grizzard, Alan(Beverly) Neal, Erika(Heath) Turner, Jeff(Elly) Underwood, Sonya(Mark) Strassburg, brother in-law Joe(Wanda) Neal, great grandchildren Katie and Abbie Grizzard, Dylan Keeling, Bailie Rylee, Jo Neal and Jackson and Evan Turner and a host of nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to your favorite charity.
Pallbearers will be Craig Keeling, Alan Neal, David Grizzard, Heath Turner, Jeff Underwood and Dennis Yother.
Honorary Pallbearers are the 1943 and 44 class of Emma Sansom Tuesday lunch bunch.
Special thanks to Drs. Wesley, Corley, Chua, Ghandi, Whitaker, Kaleem,Fred and Bellano Fitts, Amedisys Hospice,9th floor GRMC, Ruthie Wilson, Joyce and Warren Wheeler, June Mckleroy, Glenda Goodson, Betty W. Smith for always bringing her flowers, Reda Bishop and Carolyn Mink.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 5 pm until the time of service.
