Funeral services will be at 2 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Gilmer Perry Phillips, age 70, of Rainbow City, who went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2009. Rev. Richard Bradford will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents: Charles Kervin and Eva Merle Phillips.
He is survived by his brother: Charles (Ruth) Phillips, Rainsville; nieces: Delana (Joe) Long, Birmingham and Charlene (Don) Mauck, Chaska, Minn.; great-nephews: Charlie Mauk, Brett and Matt Long; aunt: Esta McKnight; several cousins.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
