Graveside services will be 1 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Crestwood Cemetery, for Mr. Gerald Thacker, age 84 of Gadsden who died May 26, 2022.

He was born in DeKalb County Alabama and was a lifelong resident of Etowah County. Proudly served in The United States Army, and was a truck Driver by trade.

He is preceded in death by son Gerald Wayne Thacker, and parents Newman and Marjorie Thacker, sisters Judy Bynum and Cathy Thacker.

He is survived by Wife Carolyn Thacker, daughters Gloria Thacker Deason and Jolie Thacker, granddaughter Aja Deason, grandson Drew Deason, stepsons Jeffrey Freeman, and Jonathon David Freeman, 2 brothers ,2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Thacker, Gary Palmer, Drew Deason, and Jeffery Freeman.

Honorary pallbearers are Members of The United States Military and all fellow Truck Drivers.
