Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, at Crestwood Chapel for Gerald Butler, age 73, of Gadsden, who passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Rodney Hill will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery.

Gerald will be remembered as a Christian first. He loved the Lord and enjoyed working on the farm. He was an extremely gentle man who would do anything for anybody. Gerald was a retired grocery business manager and a true people person. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Butler; his parents, Pinker and Weenie Butler; brother, Red Butler; and sister, Kathy Butler.

He is survived by his sister, Brenda Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of service on Tuesday.
