Furman Vickory "Vick" Elrod, 73, of Gadsden, passed away on February 2,
2021. Vick was born on February 11,1947, son of the late Clara Elrod andWillard Elrod.

Vick was a devoted husband and father and a loyal friend. He loved to
hunt, and all who knew him well knew that he saw God in the beauty of
nature and was most at home in the peacefulness of the outdoors. He was
a 1965 graduate of Gaston High School and a 1968 graduate of the
Alabama School of Trade. He was a lifelong member of Macedonia Baptist
Church.

Vick is survived by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Brenda Cargal
Elrod, his three children, Bart Elrod, Brent Elrod (LaVada), and Molly Elrod
Phillips (Matt), his five grandchildren, Abby Elrod, Emma Elrod, Amanda
Elrod Glenn (Logan), Caroline Phillips, Clara Phillips, as well as his sister,
Rita Elrod Holcomb (Randy), and sister in law, Jennie O'Neal.

A private graveside service will be held at Lebanon Cemetery, Gadsden.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Courtney
Lowe, Roschelle Gardner, the CCU staff of Riverview Regional Medical
Center, and Macedonia Baptist Church for their generous care and support.
