Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Ashville for Fred W. Teague, age 70, of Ashville, who passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Dr. Jay Stewart will officiate. Burial will follow at Ashville Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Teague will be remembered for his devotion to his Lord and Savior, his church, and his law practice. He was an attorney for over 40 years and a judge in Ashville for 30 years. He would help people whether they had money or not. He was adopted into the United Cherokee Aniyunyiya nation. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Eulalia Teague and brother Charles Teague.

Mr. Teague is survived by his wife of 47 years Anita, sons Frederick Brayden Teague and Edward Franklin Teague, cousins Peggy (Steve) Williams and John(Bernie) Hilbrant and a large extended family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the SICU staff at St. Vincents Hospital, Judge Bill Weathington, and the St. Clair County Bar and Judges.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday starting at 12:00 p.m. and lasting until the time of service.
