Graveside services will be at Crestwood Funeral Home at 12 p.m. on Monday December 3, 2018 for Frances South Poovey Campbell 88 of Rainbow City who passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018. Rod Poovey will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

Frances Oneda South was born February 16, 1930 in Albertville Al where she spent her younger years, and then the family moved to Gadsden during her school years where she graduated from Emma Sansom High School. She then went on to obtain a nursing degree through a local hospital. She met Robert Poovey and was married in 1950. After Robert's death in 1974, she then met and married Ralph Campbell in 1981. They enjoyed over 37 years of marriage. Frances lived a full life enjoying her family, church, and friends. In her later years she had a special group of friends who met at Hardees's each morning.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Lois South, her first husband Robert Poovey, a sister, Vera Brantley, one brother L.C. South.

Frances is survived by her husband Ralph T. Campbell, a son Rod Poovey, a daughter Jennie (Michael) Dobson, grandchildren; David Poovey, Laura Poovey Keahey, Jamie Dobson Holley, Anna Dobson Moore, great grandchildren; Cole Holley, Anna Reed Holley, Grant Holley, Catherine Moore, Julia Moore, two nieces; Delene Williamson and Joan Bigelow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: MeadowBrook Church of Gadsden, building fund.

Pallbearers will be: Mike Dobson, Dane Moore, David Poovey and Dale Keahey.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home with graveside service to follow (family only).
