IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances
Harrell
December 7, 1931 – June 14, 2025
Frances Harrell, age 93, of Decatur, peacefully passed away on June 14th, 2025.
A private family visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Crestwood Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at the adjoining cemetery at 12 p.m. Anthony Copeland will be officiating.
Frances lived a life filled with faith, love, and service. She cherished her church, loved reading her Bible, and found great joy in traveling and serving the Lord as a Women's Missionary Union (WMU) director. She had a remarkable memory for her family's special days, never missing a birthday or anniversary, and always making her loved ones feel remembered and special.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Phillip Harrell; her daughter, Kay Harrell; and Jan Prentice. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren and a beloved great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Reverend Graham Harrell Jr., who preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home, a cause dear to Frances's heart.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Prentice, Nicholas Prentice, Jarod Prentice, Pres Overby, Jim McDaniel, and Mike Fuller.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Harrell, Tony Collins, and Steve Collins.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Crestwood Funeral Home, Hospice of North Alabama, and Decatur Morgan Hospital for their care and compassion during this time.
