Frances C. Blalock, age 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 8, 2023. Frances was born on March 5, 1939, to Lawrence and Icle Coggins. She was a graduate of Gadsden High School Class of 1957. She was employed with Bell South, South Central Bell, and eventually retired from AT&T as a group Manager in Teleconference.

Frances is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Coggins, mother Icle Johnson, and grandson Bryan Higdon.

She is survived by her children Cassandra Higdon (John) and Jorja Adkins (Shannon); her grandchildren Jamie Barber (Brent) and Cole, Tyler and Katelyn Adkins; and great grandchildren Hylan, Kaylee and Riley Higdon and Gavin and Brylee Barber.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 1:00pm at Crestwood Cemetery, 2209 East Broad Street, Gadsden, AL .
