Funeral service will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Mrs. Flora Evelyn Hunt, age 81, of Coates Bend, who died on Monday, June 22, 2009. The Revs. Jerry Owens and Vince Whittington will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Mrs. Hunt was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked for Centre Manufactoring for many years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Hunt; parents, Dayton and Gussie McDaniel; sisters, Juanita Peterson and Ophelia Parrish; brothers, James and Marvin McDaniel.
She is survived by her children, Sherrie (Larry) Clemmer; Mike (Barbara) Hunt; and Phyllis (Rodney) Geer; grandchildren, Heather and Russell Clemmer, Autumn and Summer Hunt, Natalie (Michael) Barton and Nathan Geer; brothers, Leon (Nell) McDaniel and Jack (Gwendolyn) McDaniel; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loving relatives.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care of Gadsden, especially Kristi Farley, Lorrie Pate and Misty Allen, who took loving care of our mother.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the service following at 7:00 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home.
