Mom has gone home to be with Jesus. Just a few days prior to leaving she was crying. We asked why and she said "Because I love Jesus so much." We are thankful that she is finally peacefully in his arms.
Visitation will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home Thursday, August 31, 2017 starting at 12:00 with the service to follow at 2:00 and a private burial service afterwards. Pastor Tommy Ferguson will be honoring her life. The pall bearers will be the grandsons.
Her memories are carried on by her brother Leahman Garrard; sister Sue White; brother Jim and his wife Teresa and their families; four sons and daughters-in-laws and 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Michael and Annette Daugherty, (Wendy and Robb Howard and three sons; Amy Daugherty and Jeff Gault and four children, Patrick), Steve and Janet Daugherty (Daniel, Sarah and Adam Dearman and two children; Seaton Holt, Emily and Nicholas); Dennis and Connie Daugherty (April and Dustin and three children; Jennifer and Derek and one child; Drew) Keith and Arlen Daugherty (Elena and Sharon). She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Judge William "Buddy" Daugherty.
Mom was a devout Christian and a charter member of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church where she served the Lord by helping others. She was the most loving and giving Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother ever. We will all miss her greatly.
