Eva Mae Edwards Norton, age 91, passed away on October 12, 2021.  She was born on January 10, 1930, in Cherokee County, Alabama.  She was a lifelong resident of Gadsden, Alabama and retired from American National Bank.  She was a beloved, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and cooking.  She was an avid reader and especially cherished time spent shopping with her lifelong friend Mildred Wise.  Her family-favorite chocolate layer cake was the centerpiece dessert of all special events and gatherings.

She was predeceased by her parents John Henry Edwards and Hattie McCoy Edwards.  She is survived by her three children Kathy Smithson (Bobby), Carol Eubanks (Randall), and Clifford "Kip" Reavis Jr.; her grandchildren Bryan Wells, Warren Wells (Tamie), Clint Wells (Misti), Melinda Sellers (Michael), and John Eubanks; and her great grandchildren Collin Wells, Allison Wells (fiancé Clayton Helfert), Dillon Wells, Baxter Wells, Reilly Wells, Josh Wells (Janine), Jason Wells, Rachel Wells, Audrey Sellers, and Cassidy Sellers. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, and the honorary pallbearers are Bobby McKee, Randy Edwards, Jerry White and Perry White.

The family gives special thanks to Dr. Judith Quilon, Dr. G Patel, Dr. Marc Passman, Dr. Brent Haverstock, and the fourth floor nursing staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

On Saturday October 16, 2021, The family will receive friends at Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter in Gadsden, Alabama from 12:30 until 2:00 pm, and a graveside service will follow at New Bethel Cemetery at 2:30 pm in Hokes Bluff, Alabama.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Heart Association.
