Funeral will be at 11 am Wednesday at Crestwood Chapel for Eugene Pearce age 81 of Hokes Bluff, who died Sunday March 23 .Keith Mayo will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.

Eugene graduated from Gadsden High School in 1950 where he played football, baseball and basketball. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with over 38 years of service. He loved to bowl and play golf and will be remembered as a kind and gentle man that loved his family above all things.

He is preceded in death by parents Mr. and Mrs. William L. Pearce Sr. and brothers William E. Pearce Jr. and William Robert Pearce.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Linda, son Nathaniel(Allison) Pearce and chosen children;Vince Berry and Amanda(Steve) Bolling; 4 grandsons, Blayne Whiteside ,Derek and Trevor Berry and Palmer Pearce; sisters, Francis McCoy and Dot(Earl) Bass; sister in law, Carol Pearce and brother and sister in law Donald and Sybil Wright and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Means, Dennis Yother, Blayne Whiteside, Mike Hasty, and Derek and Trevor Berry.
