Graveside services for Mrs. Etta Mae Handy, 84, Gadsden, who died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Crestwood Cemetery. The Rev. Justin Ward will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
"Mimi" is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is a graduate of Etowah High School, Class of 1947. She retired from Goodyear with 32 years of service. She belongs to the Etowah County Democratic Executive Committee. Mae and Bill were married for 64 years. She was an amazing woman and was loved by many.
She is survived by husband of 64 years, Bill Handy; son, Robert (Jane) Handy; grandchildren, Morgane and Andrew Stancill, Maegan and Mike Fisher, Shawn Hanby and Shanna Dyer; great-grandchildren Conner, Carly and Cole Stancill, Jacob Hanby, Jay Dyer and Baylor Weldy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will meet friends graveside on the day of service.
