Graveside service will be at 2pm Wednesday, April 23 at Crestwood Cemetery for Ms. Ernie Lou Jones, age 79, of Gadsden, who passed away Monday, April 21, 2014. Seth Barber will officiate. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.

Ms. Jones was a native of Blount County, a longtime resident of California, and had come home to Alabama 20 years ago. She was a graduate of Gadsden High School and Gadsden Business College. While in California, she was co owner of an electrical contracting business. She was a member of East Gadsden Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Louise Jones; brother Jerry Jones; and nephew Brent Jones.

She is survived by her sister in law, Becky Jones; aunt Carol Nelson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her longtime friends Elleree Sharpton, Ramona Weems, and Jane House.

It is requested that memorials be made in lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to East Gadsden Baptist Church, 211 6th Street North, East Gadsden, AL, 35903.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 pm until the hour of service.
