Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, at Crestwood Chapel, for Mrs. Ellen Garmon, age 77, of Gadsden, who died Tuesday March 8, 2022. Reverend Noah Medders will officiate. Burial will be in Cherokee Memory Gardens, Centre Alabama. Crestwood Funeral Home announcing.

Mrs. Garmon will be remembered as a devout Christian, known as Miss Ellen at East Gadsden Baptist Church, where she taught children for many years. She was a great cook, and loved her phone time with her friends and family. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Mary Anthony and brother Jones Anthony.

She is survived by her husband Joe Garmon, Children Richard (Gina) Garmon, Cindy (Rodney) Grady, Grandchildren Terra( Zach) Russell and  Bayleigh Garmon, Bethany Garmon, Braden Garmon, Anna Grady, Joel Grady, great grandchildren Sarah and Callum Russell and a large extended family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to East Gadsden Baptist Church.

Special thanks to all her friends and Church family at East Gadsden Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1pm until the time of service.
