Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at Crestwood Cemetery for Elizabeth "Liz" Farrar Garrett, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015. Van Lockridge will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Liz retired from Holiday Inn Restaurant in Attalla. She was a member of MeadowBrook Baptist Church.
Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her husbands, Sam Farrar and Herbert Garrett.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam (Stan) Raines and Bridgette (Gary) Johnson; grandchildren, Greg (Darcie) Raines, Zack (Bridget) Raines, Farrar (Kelly) Barker and Tanner Johnson; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Jack Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or any favorite charity.
Special thanks to Cherokee County Health and Rehab Alzheimer's Unit and Lawley's Hospice for their loving care during Mrs. Garrett's extended illness.
No public visitation will be held.
