Eleanor "Ellen" Maltbie, age 77 of Hokes Bluff, passed away on January 12, 2025. Funeral services will be on Thursday, January 16th, at 1 p.m. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until the time of service. Adam Smith will officiate the service.  Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery.
Ellen will be remembered as a Christian first. She enjoyed everything life had to offer. She loved traveling, white water rafting even though she couldn't swim, yardwork and camping. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and her church family. Ellen was loved and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Lee Maltbie, brother Richard Allen Gray, sister Donnie Ruth Jones, parents Roy Donald and Dorothy Gray
Survived by her sons Kenneth Lee Maltbie Jr., Ernest Scott (Kimberely) Maltbie, grandchildren Brooke (Zach) Stagg, Brantley Maltbie, Payton Tinsley, Drew St. John, brothers and sisters Kathy Smith, Carris Hale, Lynn Patterson, Roy(Carol) Gray Helen (Randy) Phillips, Cappy (Ricky) Naler, Pallbearers will be nephews.
Special thanks to the staff of ACG hospice, caretakers Christal Gray and Diane Whitmore. Also a special thank you to Aunt Cappy, who was always there when we needed her.
