Funeral services were held at 3 PM, Sunday, August 23rd, 2015, at Crestwood Chapel for Edward Doyle "Eddie" Yates, 60, of Gadsden, who died on Thursday, August 20, 2015. Rev. Buddy O'Bryant officiated. Burial was at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home was in charge of services.
He was an avid Alabama fan. He was a loving brother, uncle, and will be dearly missed by his family.
Mr. Yates is preceded in death by parents, Willis and Wynell Yates; sister, Phyllis Yates.
He is survived by sister,Gina (David) Chastain; niece, Lesli Wade; great niece, Ella Wade; special friend, Eric and Kim Mullican and their daughter, Gabby; loving friend, Jon Wade; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
