Edward "Buddy" Alford, age  89 of Glencoe, passed away on June 4th, 2024. Funeral service will be held at Crestwood Funeral Home on Monday June 10th, 2024, at 11:30 am. Alex Alford will be speaking at the service.

Buddy was a longtime member of East Gadsden Baptist Church. He was a steel plant retiree and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hard worker and loved vegetable and flower gardening. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, brother and friend to all. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his son Burton Keith Alford, grandchild Dylan Keith Alford; parents T.B. and Eva Alford, brother Tim Alford; sister Linda Norris; brother in- law Ray Mccarver

Survived by his wife of 62 years Annette Alford; children Eddie Alford, Erik (Ana) Alford, Angie (Derrick) Thomas; grandchildren  Alex, Megan, McKinley, JonErik, Kaden, Ana Grace, Ashlyn; great grandchildren Ruthy and Hardy; siblings Mildred McCarver, Doug Alford, Sherrie (Charles) Thornton, Ruby McClain, and numerous nieces and nephews

Pallbearers will be Charles Thornton, David Thornton, Brad McCarver, Kaden Alford, JonErik Alford, Dale Taylor
