Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Crestwood Chapel for Edna "Arline" Tallent, 90, of Webster's Chapel, who died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. The Rev. Ray Lowery will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.

She was a longtime member of Seventh-day Christian Fellowship, formerly known as Seventh-day Oak Grove Community Church. She was retired from Bynum Anniston Army Depot. She was an avid gardener and loved to share with everyone. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Tallent; parents, Barney and Edna Rose; five sisters; and one brother.

She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie (Jerry) Thornton and Patty Prickett; grandchildren, Bryon (Betty) Thornton, Timothy Thornton, Kendall (Brian) Howell, Lance (Michelle) Prickett and Melissa Thornton; great-grandchildren, Hayden Howell, Meredith Howell, Seth Thornton, Sam Palmer, Avery Prickett and Alana Prickett; sister, Joann Stone.

Pallbearers will be family and friends. Special thanks to Beacon Hospice. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
