Funeral Service will be at 2pm Saturday, February 20, at Crestwood Chapel for Edna Mae (Jennings) Goode age 83, of Glencoe who died Thursday, February 18, 2010. Rev. Mark Gidley will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
Maw-Maw, as she was known to many, loved her Lord and family more than anything. She was a member of Faith Worship Center, Glencoe. She loved working in her yard, going to Walmart with Ruby, and on Friday's at 12:30 you could always find her at her favorite beautician (and niece) Linda Scales. Maw-Maw was a blessing to all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Pete Goode; Parents Tom and Alice Jennings; and her sister, Pauline Smith.
She is survived by her children Sonny (Becky) Goode, Littleton, Colorado, Larry (Judy) Goode, Glencoe and Debbie G. Smith (Kerry Lee Johnson), Glencoe; Grandchildren Danny, Tim, Jeff, Mike, and Jonathan Goode, Brandy (Todd) Faker, Leslie (John) Evans, Kim (Dennis) Wolfe, Angela Davis, Crissa (Eric) Clark, Courtney Smith and Matthew (Tracy) Hurst; Seventeen Great Grandchildren, four Great Great Grandchildren; sisters Ruby Smith and Joyce Spann both of Glencoe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Danny Goode, Jeff Goode, Mike Goode, Jonathan Goode, John Evans, Dennis Wolfe, Eric Clark, Tommy Roebuck, Randy Young, and John Hollis.
Honorary Pallbearers are Lawley Hospice with special thanks to Kelly Usry, Regina McIntyre, Kelly Rampey, and special friend Jane Fells.
The family will accept flowers or memorials made to Faith Worship Center, Glencoe Building Fund.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from Noon until the hour of service.
