Funeral services will be Monday 1 pm ,at Crestwood Chapel for Mrs. Edna Ruth "Maw Maw " Ashley age 86 of Rainbow City who died Thursday. Reverend David Denson will officiate n. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home Announcing.

Maw Maw Ashley will be remembered as a talented seamstress , excellent cook, loved music, could grow anything. She worked for years as a sales clerk and developed a loyal following of customers. She was a Christian and  faithful Baptist all of her life.

She is preceded in death by husband Leroy Ashley, grandson Kenny Ashley, parents Marion and Mildred Woodard, Brother Charles Woodard and sister Kay Woodard.

She is survived by son Ken Ashley, daughters Linda(Robert) Robinson, Carolyn Battles, grandchildren Kevin(Krista) Ashley, Daniel(Lynn) Bone, Derreck Bone, Jason (Deana)Robinson, Blake Robinson, great grandchildren Drew, Alana, Anna Klaire, Carson and Brady, Matthew, Bryson, Bryli, Abby, Chloe, Brother Joe(Jerry)Woodard, Ray(Sandy) Woodard, Ralph(Ann) Woodard and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11 am until the time of service.
