Our dad was a loving and devoted husband to his wife and our mother for over 68 years. He served his country in the Unites States Navy during World War II. He and his wife, Ann were longtime residents of Decatur, AL where he served as a deacon at Southside Baptist Church. He was also a member of Gideon's International. He taught Auto Body and Fender Repair at Tennessee Valley State Vocational School and in the Huntsville City School System. After retiring in 1982 he and his wife returned to Gadsden where he enjoyed having a big vegetable garden every year. It gave them great joy to share their harvest with family and friends. He served as deacon at First Baptist Glencoe where he was ready to lend a helping hand whenever it might be needed. He consistently demonstrated love for God, his family and community. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
