Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at Crestwood Chapel for Mr. Dwight Lee Yost, 59, of Gadsden, who died Tuesday, July 8, 2014. The Rev. Ken Casey will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mr. Yost graduated from Gadsden High School, after which he went to work for CSX Railroad as a customer service representative for over 35 years. He worked in Jacksonville, Fla., for his entire career, retiring in 2006. He moved back to Gadsden, where he lived until his passing. He was a longtime member of East Gadsden Baptist Church.
Mr. Yost was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Austin Yost.
He is survived by his mother, Jewell Lee Yost; and special cousins, Peggy (the Rev. Ken) Casey; and aunt, Julia Keenum.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Bishop, Mark Casey, Marvin Keenum Jr., Jason Keenum, G.R. Martin, Donnie Pappas and Rick Denzio.
Honorary pallbearers are all friends in Jacksonville, Fla., and co-workers at CSX Railroad in Jacksonville.
