Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Crestwood Cemetery for Dorothy Godfrey Swann, 90, of Gadsden, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2015. Rev. Harvey Beck will officiate. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge of services.
Mrs. Swann was a bookkeeper for Swann's Auto Parts. She worked many years for doctors at East Gadsden Clinic, and later worked in medical records at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Swann; parents, John and Mollie Godfrey; brother, James Godfrey; and sister, Billie Jo Wilson.
She is survived by her sons, Jack (Robin) Swann, Guntersville, Mark (Susan) Swann, Gadsden, and Bob (Sue) Swann, Owens Cross Roads; special nephew, Scott (Donna) Wilson, Gadsden; grandchildren, Mollie (Myron) Gargis, Guntersville, Andy Swann, Guntersville, Jennifer Swann, Gadsden, Melanie (Rino) Scicluna, Seagrove Beach, Fla., Tony Hill, Gadsden, T.J (Melissa) Swann, New Hope, Leslie Swann, Owens Cross Roads, and Bobby Bedard, Huntsville; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Scott Wilson, Jimmy Wilson, Ted Godfrey, Joe Godfrey, Johnny Godfrey and Ken Godfrey.

The family will receive friends at Crestwood Funeral Home from noon until the time of the service.
