She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Chesley and Nettie Jones Hamilton, her husband, Clarence Ray (Stoney) Stonecypher, her granddaughter, Mandy Toole, and her great-grandson, Tristian Allynn Toole.

She is survived by her children; Ray Stonecypher and his wife, Sandra, Mike Stonecypher and his wife, Becky, Celeste Dunnington and her husband, Jim, Abby Toole and her husband, Jeff, and Lisa Russell, and her husband, Benjamin; one sister, Geneva Barclay, sisters-in-law, Kathryn Morgan and her husband, Bobby, and Betty Hamilton, and 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Special thanks to the faith family at First Baptist Church Glencoe, and in particular to Barbara Mann and Nancy Conner along with others who so faithfully visited her during her home-bound years. Special thanks also to Amedisys Hospice, Attalla Health Care and Rehabilitation, and Meadowood Assisted Living.

Those who wish to honor Mrs. Dorothy Stonecypher's memory may do so in the form of a donation to the Lottie Moon Christmas Missions Offering through First Baptist Church Glencoe, or to a missions gift through their church.
