Funeral services were held at 2 PM, Monday, January 12th, 2015, at Crestwood Chapel for Dorothy Martin, 80, of Hokes Bluff, who passed away Friday, January 9th, 2015. Burial was at Crestwood Cemetery. Crestwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Dorothy was known to be a loving mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Martin; daughter, Jill Martin; parents, William and Bernice Patterson; sisters, Agatha Fallen, Elizabeth Bannister, and Mavice Williams; and father- and mother-in-law, Johny and Lola Martin.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane (Scott) Barron; grandsons, Jammy Barron and Chase (Kendall) Barron; one great-grandson, Landon Barron; brothers, Bill (Margaret) Patterson and Larry (Diane) Patterson; sister, Ressie Patterson; all of Hokes Bluff; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Fallen, Spencer Williams Jr., James Fallon, Tim Bannister, John Fallon, Jimmy Patterson, Joe Patterson, Ray McGlaughan, Doug McGlaughan, and Gary Shields.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
The family accepted friends from 12:30 PM until the time of the service.
