Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Knight, age 85, of Gadsden, who passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2025, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Rainbow Presbyterian Church. Wade Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow in Crestwood Mausoleum.

Wayne will be fondly remembered by his many friends and loyal customers at Knight's Discount Pharmacy. However, his greatest passion was cattle farming. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved bird hunting and fishing. Wayne was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, and he will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his son, Don; his parents, G. B. and Verna Knight; and his sister, Barbara Copeland and Wayne Knight III

Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Martha; children Lane Knight, Shelly (Paul) Henderson, John Mark (April) Knight, and Jonathan Knight; grandchildren Taylor, Ashton, and Kailey; and great-grandchild Decaley.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Enhabit Hospice for the compassionate care given to Wayne.

The family will receive friends at Rainbow Presbyterian Church on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
