Mr. Donald Lee Moore, age 81 of Hokes Bluff, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 while surrounded by his family. His funeral will be Saturday at 2 P.M. at Crestwood Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Samuels officiating. His family is receiving friends Saturday; Noon until time of service.

Mr. Moore was employed by Goodyear for 38 years and was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, was an avid golfer and loved Alabama football.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary Nell Moore; sons, Jamey Moore, Matt Moore (Kristi); daughter, Donna Black (Mark); grandchildren, Tim Black (Jennifer), Wendy Worthy (Jon), Jake Moore, Haley Moore; great-grandchildren, Landon Black, Lakyn Black, Ben Worthy, Hannah Worthy; brother, Byron Moore, Sr. (Shelby); sister in-laws, Myra Bynum and Peggy Wall; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mark Black, Tim Black, Jake Moore, Jerry Bone, Byron Moore, Jr., and Daryl Moore.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Irene Moore; brother, James Moore; daughter, Sharon Kay McClendon; daughter in-law, Sharon Elaine Moore.

The family would like to express their thanks to Jerry and Betty Bone, Dr. John Wilborn, College Heights Baptist Church, Hope Hospice and many neighbors and friends. A very special thanks to caregivers, Judy, Heather, Michelle, Nancy and Cindy.
